WHAT A WEEK!!!!!!!! I'll mainly focus on last Monday and Tuesday and Friday, cause other than that nothing really happened hahahaha we dropped most of our investigators and getting no lessons, but Monday and Tuesday is the only thing that is keeping me going hahahaha.
So Monday was Hari Raya!!!! What a celebration!!! We went to go see the Petronas Towers and walked around there with the multitudes of people celebrating around us. One Indonesian guy came up to us and asked if he could randomly get a picture with us missionaries, not knowing who we are or what we are doing, just knows that we're white hahahaha so of course we agreed and then, no joke, at least 30 people started to ask to get pictures with us. There was a line and everything with a row of people just flashing their cameras. Lasted for 30 minutes. Getting the church name out there, one way or another!
Elder Egbert and I then headed out. We went to Taman Paramount to visit a less active and ran into this one lady and for 20 minutes we talked religion. She is a member of the 144,000 people talked about in revelations, a captive angel trapped in a body with a mission in life to be a martyr. She can also read minds and have other special abilities. Cracked me up! We then went to visit Chee and met him. He started to diss the church and how they don't care about the Iban people in East Malaysia. Elder Egbert served with the Iban's so he started to get ticked. I was pretty cool until he said that President Monson doesn't care about the people in Malaysia, or anybody outside the US. Does Elder Holmes have to choke a guy????? Almost did, we left, pretty upset, so we started to pray outside his home.
When we finished, a car drove up with 8 people in the back asking us to pray at their home, which we obliged. The mother, Alvire, is Indian and her husband just died two months back, and she is also 5 months pregnant. She said she needed the prayers for her family. We walked to her home, with her son Jab, who is the coolest most polite guy ever and is fluent in Tamil, Chinese, English, and Malay. crazy!!!!!! So we get to the house, and we just hear wailing inside. We walk in and three old Tamil folk were just praying as loud as they could in Tamil, we have no idea what they were saying, just "Nandri" (thank you). She then asked us to pray. We knelt down, with the turmoil all around us, and started to pray for peace and calm and hope to pray out loud and invite the Spirit. They soon stopped. Then we blessed the family and the home. Then, one by one, the entire family would kneel in front of us and ask for a blessing, we went through the entire family, just praying for each one and blessing them. Alvire went last. She only cared about blessing her children and her family before herself. It was way late by that point so we had to go. We bore our testimony and asked to come by again. Then they wanted us to pray even more! What faith! We were on our knees for 45 minutes straight, hurt like the dickens, but so worth it.

WE went on Tuesday with Yash, the coolest most hipster guy in the branch and is 17, so awesome, and spoke Tamil. WE taught families and temples. They were GLUED to the temple, half of them didn't know what we were saying, but they just loved that picture. There were 11 people there for the lesson, and they are inviting even more neighbors to the next lesson!!!!!! All talked of being baptized!!!!!! So awesome!!!!
Miracles do happen. We just have to try our best and God will do everything else, that simple. Friday, nothing actually happened. but it was awesome!!! Went out with Elder Mikovits from Virginia, and went to this crazy Muslim area and were surrounded by mosques. The call to prayer was ringing out from everywhere. And the culture all around us was just amazing, we loved it there!!!!!! But too bad they were all Musilm. but some of the nicest people ever.
Anyway, Miracles do happen. I know that is true. WE just have to be obedient and God will help us. The covenant we took as Elders is two ways, and God loves to help his Children.
